Loading... Please wait...8 day ships clock that is working like a champ. Tested for multiple 8 day periods (though long term operation cannot obviously be guaranteed) and, without adjusting the fast/slow wheel on the front of the clock, kept good time within 5-8 minutes over the 8 day periods. Adjustments to the fast/slow wheel will easily get it back to exact timing.
8" diameter. Black heavy plastic like (we're told it is Phenolic Resin) case with locked down glass front. There are scattered marks of what is probably ship's White paint here and there and normal wear but overall appearance of the clock is nice. Custom wood "L" shaped holder holds clock by simple screws and clock is easily removed if desired. Slot at top to hold key. Fading of center of wood holder shows that is was probably made in the late 1940's or early 1950's after being removed from the ship.
Serial number 320459 marked into the Brass back of the clock interior and it is further noted in lightly etched numbers on the back of the case for easier reference back then.
